Mr. Bennion is a transactional attorney with a broad range of experience in the field of real estate law. His practice includes acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, leasing and general corporate law. He has represented a diverse range of clients, including institutional lenders, residential and commercial developers, pension fund advisors, REIT’s, retailers and non-profit corporations. Mr. Bennion’s transactional experience includes the negotiation and documentation of large credit facilities, construction loans, term loans, purchase and sale agreements, shopping center and office leases, joint venture agreements and land banks. In connection with his representation of institutional lenders and real estate investors, he has also advised on numerous workouts and loan modifications.
Mr. Bennion graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a BA in Economics in 2002 and received his JD from the University of Chicago Law School in 2005. Prior to joining Sherry Meyerhoff Hanson & Crance LLP in April of 2008, Mr. Bennion was an associate in the Newport Beach offices of O’Melveny & Myers LLP. Mr. Bennion lives in Orange County with his wife and two children.
