Mr. Holthouse is a graduate of the University of Southern California, from which he holds a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Taxation, and a graduate of Loyola Law School.  In addition to practicing law with the firm, Mr. Holthouse is a founding partner of the accounting firm of Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP.  He began his accounting career with Peat Marwick in Los Angeles.  Mr. Holthouse is the author of numerous articles on a wide variety of tax issues and, since 1988, has been a part-time instructor of Real Estate and Real Property Transactions at the University of Southern California Graduate Tax Program.
